Farmers Market November 9th

Brrrrr...the wind was very cold today, and it certainly felt like winter is on it's way.  (Good time to be in Florida Kim!!)

As a farmer, I never stop thinking about or complaining about the weather.

Green Mizuna
We picked from the greenhouse today:

  • Fall Frilly Mix:  green and purple mizuna*

*Mizuna is a Japanese mustard green that is delicious raw or cooked.

This week I had a yummy salad of both purple and green mizuna with arugula; adding cranberries and almond slivers and a honey-dijon mustard dressing.

Mizuna can also be cooked, adding it to stir frys or soups.

  • Spinach:  a mix of green and red Bordeaux
  • Mustard Greens
  • Swiss Chard

And, from the fields, we picked:

Arugula
Kim's Custom Lettuce Mix
Kale
Rubicon Cabbage
Parsley

See you all at the market in Pawtuxet Village (9 to noon) and at the Hope Artiste Market (9 to 1).
